Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. 65-year-old man knifed himself in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital. Nizami district police office told APA that it happened in Sharifli Street, 3. Gorkhmaz Rza Mammadov, 65, knifed himself in the abdomen. Nobody was at home at that time and he died of bleeding. Mammadov had reportedly worked in the former Scientific Research Ecology Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences for long years and retired on a pension. The police office did not give information about the causes of the suicide. He reportedly suffered mental disease. Nizami district police office has launched criminal case on the fact on Article 125 (inciting to suicide) of the Criminal Code, investigation is underway.
