Chairman of National Assembly of Georgian Azerbaijanis Dashgin Gulmammadov sentenced to two months in jail

Chairman of the National Assembly of Georgian Azerbaijanis Dashgin Gulmammadov misappropriated $5000 of his acquaintance under the pretext of job in the Presidentâ€™s Office. Assistant prosecutor of Sabayel district Elchin Sultanov told APA that Sabayel district court sentenced Gulmammadov to two months in jail. Sultanov said Gulmammadov took $5000 from his acquaintance Zohrab Zeynalov under the pretext of job in the Presidentâ€™s Office in 2006. He neither kept his promise, nor returned the money.

Sultanov said they had some more complaints about Gulmammadovâ€™s swindling.
â€œThe district prosecutorâ€™s office continues investigating the criminal case launched on Dashgin Gulmammadov,â€ he said.

Head of the National Assembly of Georgian Azerbaijanis (GAMA) Dashgin Gulmammadov was detained by Sabayel district police in Baku on March 10. He charges under article 178.2.4 (swindling) of the Criminal Code.

Gulmammadov has been chairing GAMA since 2001.
