Baku. Ramil Mammadli–APA. The Supreme Court held hearing on Wednesday on the cassation appeal of the chairman of Narimanov District believers community Haji Gamat Suleymanov against the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations. Judge of the Civil Court Alesker Aliyev rejected the cassation appeal of the Abu Bakr mosque-based community, the court sources told APA.
The community filed lawsuit against the State Committee because of its non-activity toward the re-opening of Abu Bakr mosque. According to the October 20, 2008 decision of Sabayel District Court, the community’s claim was considered as groundless. The Baku appeal Court kept the first court instance’s decision in force.
