Lawyer files petition for handing over investigation of criminal case on murder of Naila and Reyhana Majidovas to General Prosecutorâ€™s Office

Baku. Ramil Mammadli - APA. Court of Grave Crimes has held the next hearing on the case of Tavakkul, Elnur and Elchin Ismayilov brothers, who are accused of killing Naila and Reyhana Majidovas, residents of Dagh Biliji village of Devechi region. Judge Ahmad Guliyev presided over the hearing, APA reports. The judge said that witnesses and sufferers had been interrogated during the court investigation, so the process could be finished. The sufferersâ€™ lawyer filed a petition and asked the court to investigate the case. The lawyer declared the document prepared on behalf of the sufferer Zamir Majidov and asked the court to hand over the investigation to the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office, correct the mistakes made during the preliminary investigation and punish the responsible persons, who made the mistakes. The lawyer said Majidov was not satisfied with the forensic medical examination made to identify Naila Majidovaâ€™s body.
â€œOther persons, who have hand in this crime, should be arrested and punished, Reyhana Majidovaâ€™s body should be searched,â€ he said.
The public prosecutor asked time to discuss the petition in the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office. The hearing has been postponed till April 2.
Tavakkul, Elnur and Elchin Ismayilov brothers are accused of killing Naila and Reyhana Majidovas, residents of Dagh Biliji village of Devechi region. According to the indictment, they faced charges under articles 120.1 (premeditated murder), 149 (raping), 150.2.3 (violent actions of sexual nature against juvenile), 127.1 (deliberate causing of less serious harm to the health), 144.3 (kidnapping), 177 (robbery), 178 (swindling) and 221 (illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation or carrying of fire-arms) of the Criminal Code. Ismayilov brothers killed Majidova sisters and threw their bodies into Samur-Absheron channel. Naila Majidovaâ€™s body was found in Siyazan part of Samur-Absheron channel on August 9, Reyhana Majidovaâ€™s body has not been found yet.
