Prosecutor demands one year and half months for Derya

Baku. Ramil Mammadliâ€“APA. The trial on the case of popular rapper of Azerbaijan Huseyn Derya, Himat Shahverdiyev and Beyler Gemberov has today held in Court of Grave Crimes, APA reports.
The trial has been presided over by Mail Bayramov.
The defendants did not plead their guilty. The judge noted that the court investigation was over. The prosecutor demanded one year and half months for Derya, 2 years for Hikmet, 8 years for Beyler. The prosecutor noted that three defendants should be treated obligatory.
The judgment will be passed on March 10.
Huseyn Derya faced charges under Articles 228.4(Illegal purchase, selling or carrying of gas weapon, cold steel, including throwing weapon, except for districts where carrying of a cold steel is an accessory of a national suit or connected to hunting), 234.1(Illegal purchase or storage without a purpose of selling of narcotics or psychotropic substances in a quantity (amount) exceeding necessary for personal consumption) of Criminal Codes. Hikmet Shahverdiyev and Beyler Gemberov faced charge under Article 234.2 (Illegal purchase or storage with a view of selling, manufacturing, processing, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics or psychotropic substances â€“
is punished by imprisonment for the term from three up to seven years with confiscation of property or without it) of the Criminal Code.
The defendants were arrested by officials of Interior Ministryâ€™s Department Combating Narcotics in December, 2008.
