Arif Babayev: â€œGeorgia refused to hand over Tahir Khubanov and Teymuraz Aliyev, who killed Elmar Huseynov, to Azerbaijanâ€

The process has not been delayed for a moment,â€ head of public affairs department of National Security Ministry Arif Babayev told APA. Babayev said the investigation group had done much work.

â€œ900 various investigative actions were carried out, over 600 witnesses were interrogated, over 155 reviews and searches were made, 20 examinations were made, over 100 questionnaires and letters were sent during the investigation,â€ Babayev said.

Arif Babayev said the investigation group had filed 6 petitions to Georgian General Prosecutorâ€™s Office in connection with legal assistance, the investigation group had been sent to Georgia four times.
â€œIt is known who committed the murder. They are wanted Tahir Khubanov and Teymuraz Aliyev. Applications were sent to Georgian General Prosecutorâ€™s Office to detain those persons and hand them over to Azerbaijan, but Georgia refused to hand them over saying they are citizens of that country,â€ he said.

Arif Babayev said Interpol had issue a Red Notice for Tahir Khubanov and Teymuraz Aliyev in over 180 countries.
â€œWe have always informed the public about the case, information will be further given about the investigation,â€ he said.
