Azerbaijan faces with 14 mine incidents in 2008

Baku. Ramil Mammadliâ€“APA. 13 people were injured and one civilian was killed as a result of mine explosions in Azerbaijan in 2008, said Chairman of Azerbaijan Anti-Mine Campaign Public Union Hafiz Safikhanov, APA reports. 11 of injured people are civilians and two others militaries. There are two children among the mine-injured people. Mine incidents happened in Baku, Agdam, Fuzuli, Tartar and Khojavand territories of Azerbaijan in 2008â€.

Safikhanov said 32 people, including 14 civilians were injured in mine incidents in 2007. 10, including 5 civilians were killed. Safikhanov emphasized that most of mine victims were civilians in Azerbaijan.
