Jafarzadeh said that the parts of the helicopter were taken onshore by ship. The remainders will be investigated on the shore.
Rauf Jafarzadeh said that despite bad weather, Azal helicopters continued search all day long.
“We continue search along with Shore Security of Border Troops, ships and personnel of Navy, officers of SOCAR and Emergencies Ministry. The search will continue until the two bodies are found. The search operations were too difficult yesterday and today because of waves,” he said.
Jafarzadeh said flight recorder’s part of technical parameters was read in Baku and part of radio communications was sent to Moscow for investigating by CIS Interstate Aviation Committee experts.
MI-8 helicopter owned by AzAlhelicopters of AzAL State Concern crashed on October 12.
The helicopter crashed into the Caspian Sea as it evacuated Gahraman Asadov sick worker and his fellow worker Zahid Shashkayev from SOCAR’s drilling platform Khazar-4, located in the West Absheron field. Four crew members and two SOCAR employees were on board.
About 20 divers of Caspian Oil Fleet and lifting cranes took four bodies and the main parts of the helicopter out of 12m-depth.
The bodies of captain Vladimir Nekrasov, second pilot Ahmad Aliyev, instructor-captain Victor Glinenko and his assistant Jahid Ibrahimov have been found. /APA/
