Search of four out of six, who died in helicopter crash in Caspian Sea, continues
Press service of State Oil Company told APA that all the supplies of the company have been involved in the search, but there are no results yet.
AZAL State Concern, Emergencies Ministry, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), State Border Service and General Prosecutor’s Office made a joint statement. The statement says that MI-8T helicopter, owned by Azalhelicopters enterprise and piloted by crew members – instructor-captain Victor Glinenko, captain Vladimir Nekrasov, second pilot Ahmad Aliyev, mechanic Jahid Iabrahimov, was urgently called to Khazar-4 Lifting Plant in connection with the health problems of employer Asadov Gahraman Soltan and took the patient and another worker Shashkayev Zahid Javad. The helicopter fell into the sea 200m far from the plant.
An ad hoc commission was composed of officials of Emergencies Ministry, SOCAR, State Border Service and AZAL, the site was under the control of the rescuers till the morning. Bodies of Nekrasov and Aliyev and the main part of the helicopter were taken out of 12m-depth. Forces of AZAL, Emergencies Ministry, SOCAR, State Border Service and Defense Ministry continue rescue efforts and search. The president is regularly informed about the rescue operations and investigation.
Criminal case has been launched on the fact on article 262.3 (violation of safety rules of air vehicles) of the criminal code.
Experts of relevant bodies reviewed the site and the helicopter taken out of the sea, blackbox which was found at the site was sent to AZAL’s commission investigating air accidents. The bodies of Nekrasov and Aliyev were identified and air communicators, who contacted crew members, were interrogated.
General Prosecutor’s Office Department Investigating Grave Crimes is carrying out the investigation, the causes of the accident are being investigated. /APA/
