The solicitations of defendant were discussed in the court headed by Allahveren Hasanov. Lawyer’s solicitation about Efeniyev’s participation in the hearings was met. The next hearing was appointed on November 15.
Khasayev said that Efendiyev’s wife meet with PACE co-rapporteurs to Azerbaijan Andres Herkel and Tony Lloyd. The co-rapporteurs could not meet with Efendiyev as he is being kept in Ganja Investigation ward.
“We informed the guests about Efendiyev’s illegal arrest,� Khasayev said.
Natig Afandiyev was sentenced for five years in jail by Dashkesen Court head Habib Hasanov. He was charged for unrests attempt, seize and hold the power by force and carrying a gun illegally in October last year. The court still considers the Article 228.2(carry gun illegally) on Criminal Code./APA/ .
