Criminal case launched on banned bugging equipments brought from China to Azerbaijan

He said the bugging equipments were found in March-April by the Air Lines Customs Office of Azerbaijan from 83 persons, most of them are Azerbaijani citizens.

It was identified that according to the presidential decree on September 12, 2005 about the additional measures for regulation of goods, which civil turnover was restricted, the citizens were not allowed to use technical equipments assigned for secret information.

A criminal case was launched under article 233 (organization of actions promoting infringement of a social order or active participation in such actions
Organization by group of persons of actions, roughly breaking a social order or connected to insubordination to legal requirements of the authority representative, or entailed on infringement of normal activity of transport, enterprise, establishment and organization, as well as active participation in such actions) of the Penal Code of Azerbaijan.
