48 human trafficking crimes recorded in Azerbaijan over the past period of this year

Gojayev said that 41 people had been held accountable, 60 people were recognized as victims of the human trafficking. 15 criminal groups engaged in human trafficking were exposed. 34 people out of 60, including 1 child, were sent to shelter-care facilities. The section chief said they had been offered legal, medical and psychological aid. 11 of the victims were employed, 32 were sent to courses, including 9 to entrepreneurship courses. Assistance was also offered to the children in trusteeship of the human trafficking victims in the shelter-care facilities. Education Ministry sent 1 child to the boarding school, 3 children to kindergartens. Pecuniary damage was paid to 9 victims after the trial. 47 human trafficking victims received compensation. He said 42 of the human trafficking victims are persons with secondary education, 7 without secondary education, 50 unemployed, 36 single, 3 children, 14 aged 20-25, 26 aged 26-35 and 9 above 35. 1 of them is the citizen of Georgia and 3 of Uzbekistan.
