Police Chief Colonel Mehid Humbatov and his operational assistant Shirinali Veliyev have been removed from the posts by the Interior Minister’s order. Several other police officers in Sumgayit have also been dismissed, but their names are not reported.
There is no new appointment to the post of police chief in Sumgayit.
No official information was given by the Interior Ministry.
