Baku â€“ APA. Interior Ministry issued a statement on Goychay businessman Chingiz Mayilovâ€™s arrest, APA reports. â€œRecently local police and prosecutorâ€™s office received complaints about the illegal actions by businessman Chingiz Mayilov in Goychay. Resident of Goychay Vusala Hasanova complained to police about violence and death threat against her by her husband Chingiz Mayilov and asked to provide her security. Her mother Sudaba Hasanova told police that Mayilob beat her daughter, who is his second wife, and documented all his properties, hotels, lands and shops for his son from first marriage. Chinigiz Mayilov was summoned to the local police office for testimony. Police passed decision to bring Mayilov to justice, but when he heard about the decision, he resisted to police, insulted them and injured police captain Ruhid Taghiyev and deputy police chief Khaleddin Eyyubov, as well as officer on duty Vahid Jahangirov. Mayilov damaged the police office. He was detained as a suspect and faced with charges under article 221.3 (hooliganism) of the Penal Code. On June 12, He was detained for pre-trial restrictionsâ€, said the Interior Ministry in its statement. â€œDespite that some persons calling themselves human rights defenders are trying to organize actions to shadow police of official government bodies and instigating the Mayilovâ€™s relatives to hold illegal actions. They are spreading misleading information in the newspapersâ€, said the Interior Ministry and added that the investigation is going on. â€œChingiz Mayilov was provided with lawyer on his own choice. The preliminary investigation is under the serious controlâ€.
