Drug traffickers using Azerbaijani territory as a â€œtransit pointâ€ detained

Pakistani citizen Zada Amir Sher was detained while entering the Astara Customs Office of Azerbaijan from the Islamic Republic of Iran and 7 kg 40 g of heroin was confiscated from him. On the Zada Amirâ€™s evidence, resident of Sumgayit City Rahimova Chinara Vagif was detained with 6 kg 990 g of heroin she received from the Pakistani citizen.

The State Custom Officeâ€™s Investigative Department launched a criminal case under the articles 206.4, 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (smuggling, is moving large amount through customs border of the Azerbaijan Republic of goods or other subjects, moving through customs border of the Azerbaijan Republic of narcotics, illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances) of the Penal Code of Azerbaijan.

Citizen of Uzbekistan Sayfilloyeva Manzura Sayfilloyevna was detained by the Air Transport Customs officers during a flight from Baku to Urumchi and 2026,131 g of makeshift heroin was confiscated from her. On the Sayufilloyevaâ€™s evidence, other citizen of Uzbekistan Khamarayeva Muyiba Muradovna and citizen of Pakistan Hamidullah Bahbadshah were also detained. They also face with charges under the articles 206.4, 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 of the Penal Code and were detained for three-month pre-trail restriction.

Astara customs officers also detained a bus driven by citizen of Azerbaijan Mogbaliyev Seyfulla Eynulla and found large deal of narcotic drugs there. His crime associates â€“ Iranian citizen Golamreza Rahman Ajori and sevarl others were also detained by the customs officers. They were detained for three-month pre-trial restriction by the decision of Yasamal District Court of Baku.
