Goychay. Shahnazar Bashirov – APA. A fire took place in nine-hectare wheat field in Goychay Region of Azerbaijan at about 12.00 on June 17, APA local bureau reports. Brigades of the Goychay Firefighting Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately arrived at site. Three firefighting vehicles were involved in the extinguishing the fire.
2.5 hectares of wheat field owned by the local municipality and more than eight tons of wheat was burned. 1.5-hectare reaped field, 0.5-hectare pomegranate garden around the wheat field and nearby pasture were also burned.
The firefighters prevented the extension of fire to the other part of the field.
The fact is under the investigation.
