Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. The Supreme Court held a hearing on the cassation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses community on the decision of Baku Appeal Court. The court sources told APA the court presided over by civil judge Nigar Rasulbayova rejected the cassation appeal and kept the Baku Appeal Court’s decision in force.
The State Committee for Work with Religious Associations didn’t license the spread of religious literature brought by Jehovah’s Witnesses to Azerbaijan. The community protested the committee decision in its appeal to the Sabayel District Court. The community’s appeal was rejected by both district and Baku Appeal courts.
