26 trespassers detained in Azerbaijan last month

Baku â€“ APA. 20 cases of illegal border crossing were identified in Azerbaijan and 26 trespassers were detained last month by the state border guard, press service of the State Border Service told APA. 10 of border crossers were citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 4 â€“ Georgia, 4 - Pakistan, 2 - Turkey, 2 â€“ the Islamic Republic of Iran, others from Russian Federation, South Africa, the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
304 were detained for violation of border regime in 215 cases, 60 â€“ for visa violations in 42 cases, 43 â€“ for expired visas in 36 cases, 38 â€“ for absence of documents in 25 cases. Six people tried to cross the borders with false documents, four â€“ with unfamiliar documents and one tried to cross secretly. 83 wanted persons were detained and handed over to the law-enforcement bodies. 25 kg 713.3 g of narcotic drugs were confiscated in 10 cases. 9 boats were inspected under the Caspian coastal regime regulations. 13 Azerbaijani citizens in 5 boats were detained for violation of coastal regime.
As a result of anti-smuggle operations, the contraband worth of 484 607 AZN, as well as two pistols, 80 pistol bullets, two chargers, 50 sport gun bullets, 51 antique things, 812 different drugs, large deal of cigarettes and alcohol drinks, foods, industrial and agricultural goods were detained.
