Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Chairman of Azerbaijan Anti-Torture Committee Elchin Behboudov met with former president of Barmek-Azerbaijan Company Huseyn Arabul in the investigative isolator No.1 of the Justice Ministry Penitentiary Service. Behboudov told APA Arabul suffers from diabetes. “Huseyn Arabul is detained in ten-man cell. He didn’t complain about the detention condition and behavior of supervisorsâ€.
The human rights defender said the Turkish businessman was not agreeing with the indictment against him. Regarding the State Border Service’s statement that Arabul changed hair-color to be not known during the crossing border, Behboudov said Arabul’s hairs were yellow.
The State Border Service issued an official statement on Arabul’s detainment on Wednesday saying that Arabul was living in Shamkir and Gazakh regions of Azerbaijan under the name “Ahmet†and changed color of hairs to be not known.
