Ganja – APA. “The reports that I have been arrested or held accountable are groundless,†Deputy Head of Ganja Executive Power Shahmali Javadov told APA. He said the reports that he had been held accountable in connection with the arrest of Ganja resident Shohrat Guliyev were groundless.
“I have not been arrested. I have no links to those persons. I continue working and have not been held accountable,†he said.
On May 29, Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General’s Office issued a joint statement on the arrest of Ganja resident Shohrat Guliyev, who committed grave crimes together with a group of men. The members of the gang were accused of committing contract murders. Investigation is underway to determine whether the members of the gang participated in other crimes or not. Several officials have reportedly been held accountable in connection with the investigation.
