Court passes judgment on servicemen accused of bullying

Judge Shirvan Mammadov presided over the hearing. Judgment was passed on the defendants. Vugar Agayev and Eldaniz Rahimov were sentenced to 5 years in jail.
According to the indictment, the defendants faced charges under article 331.3 (Causing injuries or tortures by chief of subordinate during performance or in connection with performance of duties on military services) of the Criminal Code. 19 suffered soldiers gave testimonies over the case. The soldiers said they had undergone physical pressure by the defendants.
In the previous hearing public prosecutor demanded 6-year imprisonment for the defendants.
The criminal case was launched on the fact, after the video of bullying was released on the Internet.
