Oil Academy gunman Ferda Gadirovâ€™s father identifies his body

Asad Gadirov arrived in Baku from Russia on Friday, law-enforcement bodies told APA. He gave testimony and then was taken to the Forensic and Pathological Anatomy Union of Nasimi District where the body was kept. Gadirov confirmed that this was his son. The investigative group allowed the Gadirovâ€™s family to receive his body, media reports.

Cousin of Nadir Shirkhan Aliyev, who was detained as a suspect for April 30 shooting in the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Sadagat khanum told APA that Nadir Aliyev had no relation to the terrorist attack. â€œNadir was working in donerchi near the Academy. I donâ€™t know anything about his relations with Ferda Gadirov, who committed the crime. May be they know each other as villagers. The investigation will clear everything. I donâ€™t believe that Nadir has relation to this event. We know about the developments from newspapers and TVâ€. She said she didnâ€™t know where Nadir Aliyev was kept.

Au unknown man entered the building of Azerbaijan State Oil Academy on April 30 at about 9.30 in the morning and shot everyone he met on his way from first to sixth floor. He shot dead 12 people and wounded 13. Then he killed himself. He was armed with Makarov pistol. Identification card of Ferda Asad Gadirov, 29, Georgian citizen, was found near him.

Gadirovâ€™s villager Nadir Aliyev was detained as a suspect.

A criminal case was launched under article 120.2.2 (deliberate murder committed from hooligan prompting), 120.2.4 (deliberate murder committed with special cruelty or in publicly dangers way), 120.2.7 (deliberate murder of two or more persons), article 29 (attempt to murder), article 228.1 (illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation or carrying of fire-arms, accessories to it, supplies (except for the smooth-bore hunting weapon and ammunition to it), explosives) of the Criminal Code. An investigative group of professional experts was established for investigation of the reasons of the crime, contacts of the persons committed the crime and other necessary investigations. The group is taken the intensive measures.

The investigation of the criminal case is under the control of President of Azerbaijan Republic.
