Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan reshuffles his Cabinet

Istanbul. Mayis Alizada-APA. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip
Erdogan Friday announced a cabinet reshuffle, following local
elections in March.

According to the new list Erdogan read out to reporters, former
parliament speaker Bulent Arinc became deputy prime ministers,
minister of state.

According to another significant change, Ahmet Davutoglu will replace
Ali Babacan as foreign minister.

Davutoglu’s appointment marks a rare phenomenon in Turkish politics:
an official joining the cabinet without being a parliament member.

Other new appointments are as following:

Labor and Social Security Minister: Omer Dincer

Industry and Trade Minister: Nihat Ergun

Justice Minister: Sadullah Ergin

Education Minister Nimet Cubukcu

Energy and Natural Resources Minister: Taner Yildiz

Public Works and Housing Minister: Mustafa Demir

State Minister: Cevdet Yilmaz

State Minister: Selma Aliye Kavaf

Other ministers stayed at their posts - State Ministers - Jamil
Chicek, Mehmet AydÄ±n, Egemen Bagis, Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul,
