Elmira Suleymanova congratulates media representatives on World Press Freedom Day

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova sent a letter of congratulation to the media representatives on the occasion of May 3 â€“ World Press Freedom Day, Human Rights Commissionerâ€™s press service told APA. The message says that Azerbaijani press had passed hard and honorable way.
â€œThere is a great need for the articles serving the establishment of civil society, words reflecting reality, balanced information and society expects the mass media to have unbiased, professional approach to the problems,â€ she said.
The message also says that Human Rights Commissionerâ€™s relations with mass media is one of the main priorities, attention is paid to the protection of their rights, negative cases, such as violence against journalists are controlled, related bodies are appealed to solve these problems within the framework of law.
â€œI hope media representatives will contribute to forming dynamic processes, healthy moral values, informing the world community of Azerbaijanâ€™s truths, restoring violated human rights and freedoms and improving our country.â€
