Galaktika Kosmos founder arrested

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Founder of Galaktika Kosmos Ltd working in Baku under the name of humanitarian assistance organization Mustafayeva Sevda Isa, 58 was arrested for misappropriation of totally one million AZN collected from the different people, Baku police office told APA.

Several citizens complained to police about the swindling them by Galaktika Kosmos Ltd. The investigations showed that complainants were the Galaktika Kosmos branch offices managers in the region. Mustafayeva was charged earlier for swindling and was fined in 2007. She founded Galaktika Kosmos in 2008 and registered it at the Ministry of Taxes. She said her organization provided the refugees and displaced persons, as well as orphanages with humanitarian assistance. She made the citizens sure that she would receive financial assistance from the German and Norwegian embassies, as well as Continental Bank headed by her relative Ruslan Khalilov and then she together with her son-in-law Anar Eyvazov deceived the citizens misappropriating their money. She promised them to provide them with high-paying jobs. Ltd even assisted some citizens and organizations to win the confidence of donors. Mustafayeva even released advertising clips of her â€œcharityâ€ activity.
Mustafayeva has been wanted since December 2008. Anar Eyvazov was arrested in that time. As a result of operational searches Mustafayeva was arrested on April 29, 2009. She is charged with articles 178.2.1, 178.2.2, 178.2.4 and 178.2.3 of the Criminal Code.
