Public prosecutor demands sentence for Nardaran residents accused of threatening to kill parliamentarian

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. Sabunchu district court held a hearing on the case of Nardaran residents Haji Ali Huseynov and Haji Hikmat Valiyev, who are accused of threatening to kill chairman of Citizen Solidarity Party, MP Sabir Rustamkhanli. APA reports that judge Yusif Karimov presided over the process. The public prosecutor addressed the court. The prosecutor said the investigation had been carried out and the crime proved. The public prosecutor demanded 18-month imprisonment for the defendants. The defendantsâ€™ lawyer Alovsat Agamoglanov said it was a crime, there were some irregularities in the investigation. The lawyer asked the court to acquit his clients. The defendants also said their action was not a crime and Sabir Rustamkhanli did not complain. Break was announced at the hearing.
The court will announce the judgment after the break.
