Member of radical religious group registered in the psychiatric health center

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. Hearing on the case of former officer of Azerbaijani Army Kamran Asadov and 19 others was continued in the Military Court of Grave Crimes on Thursday. Judge Islam Neymanov presided over the process, APA reports. The judge said Uzeyir Shirinov, who should be invited to the process as an additional witness, didnâ€™t attend the hearing because place of his residence was not identified. Kamran Asadov said he didnâ€™t agree with the accusations against Elshan Mammadov. The accused person said he forced Mammadov to take the hand grenade, which was found in his house. â€œElshan couldnâ€™t disobey me. I gave him two grenades in Baku and told him that I would take it back later. I threatened him not to inform about usâ€.
Mammadov didnâ€™t confirm the Asadovâ€™s words and said he voluntarily did it. Asadov said there were witnesses of that event. â€œBakhtiyar Orujov, Farid Jabbarov witnessed it. The court can ask themâ€.
Mammadovâ€™s lawyer Gulsum Musayeva said Vugar Aliyev continued hunger strike in a protest against the forcible shave of their faces in the investigative isolation ward and the problem should be solved. The judge opposed against the hunger strike by the accused persons and said that the defendantsâ€™ eating was not under the courtâ€™s authority. Then the documents related to the criminal case were announced at the court. Defendant Samir Mehraliyev was registered in the Republican Psychiatric Health Center.
The hearing will be continued on April 23.

Kamran Asadov, Bakhtiyar Orujov, Farid Jabbarov, Elshan Mammadov, Kamran Babayev, Samir Mehbaliyev, Terlan Karimov, Edgar Aliyev, Ramil Karimov, Shirvani Babayev, Samir Aliyev, Yalchin Maharramov, Orkhan Alizadeh, Hajibala Huseynov, Azer Ibadov, Shahriyar Maharramov, Ramin Jalilov, Rovshan Abdulaliyev, Ilkin Ismayilov and Vugar Aliyev are accused of setting up a radical religious group, attempting to start military struggle, attacking on LUKoil petrol station in Baku, preparing terror attack on the U.S. and UK embassies in Azerbaijan.
