Eldar Mahmudov receives Chairman of Ukraineâ€™s Foreign Intelligence Service

Baku -APA. Azerbaijan Minister of National Security General-Lieutenant Eldar Mahmudov received Chairman of Ukraineâ€™s Foreign Intelligence Service Army General Nikolay Malomuj, who visited Azerbaijan together with President Victor Yushchenko, Public Relations Center of the Ministry of National Security told APA. Mahmudov appreciated the first visit of Ukraineâ€™s chief intelligence officer to Baku as the next step toward the development of cooperation between the security services of both countries. They discussed the issues of transnational organized crime control, anti-drug trafficking measures, migration processes, as well as prospects of development of useful cooperation between the security services of Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
Nikolay Malomuj said he was satisfied with the results of talks over the topical security issues of both countries. He appreciated the development of relations between the security services and said the agreement between the Ukraineâ€™s Foreign Intelligence Service and Azerbaijan Ministry of National Security would be useful for strengthening of relations between the countries.
