Baku resident hangs himself

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Baku resident committed suicide, Nizami district prosecutorâ€™s office told APA. Inspector of the prosecutorâ€™s office Orkhan Ahmadov said it happened in Babek Street, 105, Apt. 24 in Nizami district. Rustam Mukhtar Karimov, 36, hanged himself from the gas pipe in the corridor of his house. The inspector said there were initial reports that Karimov had been mental patient, but the fact was not completely confirmed. Ahmadov said Karimov had not been registered in the mental hospital, but underlined that he frequently fell into depression. Karimovâ€™s brother reportedly went missing in the military operations during Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict in 1990. After that Rustam Karimov often fell into depression and had nervous breakdown. The inspector also said before Rustam Karimov had drank mercury to commit suicide.
Nizami district prosecutorâ€™s office has launched criminal case on the fact on Article 125 (inciting to suicide) of the Criminal Code, investigation is underway.
