The decision of Azerbaijani parliament on “Declaring Amnesty on the occasion of Novruz holiday†is being executed, Public Affairs Department of the Justice Ministry’s Penitentiary Service told APA. The Act of Amnesty has been applied to about 900 prisoners up to now. The process continues.
Azerbaijani parliament passed decision on “Declaring Amnesty on the occasion of Novruz holiday†last month. The Act of Amnesty has been applicable to 9000 prisoners. According to the act, 1700 will be released.
