President Ilham Aliyev also addressed at the meeting and noted that the relations between NATO and Azerbaijan have a good history. He noted that this cooperation is developing successfully and currently Azerbaijani soldiers are actively involved in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan.

In their speeches, the Permanent Representatives of the Member States at NATO noted that Azerbaijan's cooperation with NATO is developing successfully. They emphasized Azerbaijan’s active participation in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan. They stressed the importance of resolving the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
Emphasizing the role of Azerbaijan in the European energy security, permanent representatives stressed that a successful cooperation is established in this. Large-scale energy projects, such as Trans-Anatolian and Trans-Adriatic pipeline, "Shah Deniz -2" , are making an important contribution to the process.
