Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. The program of the upcoming World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland on January 22-25 has been made public, APA reports quoting the forum’s press service. “The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business” is the thematic focus of this year’s meeting.

 

Profound political leaders, businessmen and journalists will discuss the most urgent problems, global, regional and industrial transformations. The program includes the debates on global events, global energy agenda and the ongoing developments in Middle East and Syria. Meetings will be held with Nobel Prize winners in science, sessions on the United States, Russia and China and discussions on the recent processes in Ukraine.

 

The economic cooperation in the South Caucasus and Central Asia, diversification of the region's economic base and enhancement of cross-border trade will also be discussed as a part of the forum on January 23.

 

Davos Forum is held every year with the participation of about 2000 political figures and businessmen. Azerbaijani President has also repeatedly attended this forum.
