Azerbaijani President: "We will create a more efficient format with the European Union in the coming years"

Baku- APA. "An important agreement has been signed with the European Union on visa facilitation in the past year. This is a manifestation of our relations with the European Union. The future format of the strategic relations between the European Union and Azerbaijan must be defined in 2014”.

According to APA, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said it at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss results of the Azerbaijan’s socio-economic development in 2013 and outline tasks for 2014.

President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan wants to establish effective working relationships with the European Union and all other organizations which we are not member yet: "We managed to achieve this. Principles of our relations with all organizations which we are not member, open, clear and not go beyond international guidelines. These are the principles of mutual respect, non-interference in each other's affairs, mutual support, mutual understanding and full cooperation. I am confident that in the coming years, we will create an even more efficient format with the European Union."
