He mentioned that Azerbaijan and the EU signed an agreement on visa facilitation last year: “Readmission agreement must be ratified by both Azerbaijani and the European Parliament after it is signed. I think that these documents will be ratified by summer and will come into force in the second half of 2014.”
The agreement on visa facilitation was signed last year as a part of Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius. The document has already been ratified by the Azerbaijani Parliament. Readmission agreement envisages the return of Azerbaijani citizens illegally residing in the EU and subjected to deportation.
