Foreigners wishing to make a long trip to UK must be tested for tuberculosis
# 30 December 2013 12:30 (UTC +04:00)

APA reports quoting the website of the UK Border Agency that this rule will also be applied to Azerbaijani citizens.

From 31 December 2013, residents of Azerbaijan who wish to come to the UK for more than 6 months must be tested for tuberculosis (TB) before applying for a visa. If you submit an application in Azerbaijan on or after31 December 2013, you will need to take a TB test if you are applying to come to the UK for 6 months or longer. If you plan to come to the UK for less than 6 months you do not need a TB test, unless you are applying for a 6 month fiancé (e) visa.

All children over 11 years in Azerbaijan can get a relevant certificate from the Western Medical/Turkish American Medical Center located in Mardanov Gardashlari Street 41/47. If you are a parent or guardian of children under 11 years old you must bring your children to an approved clinic and complete a health questionnaire for them. The clinician will then decide, based on your answers, whether your child needs to be tested for tuberculosis. If the clinician decides not to test your child they will give you a certificate to say your child was not tested - there will be a charge for the certificate payable to the clinic. This certificate must be submitted with your child's UK visa application.
