“The foreign ministers of Georgia and Azerbaijan discussed the format of Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Georgia trilateral cooperation,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili during joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports.
He noted that future cooperation plans in a tripartite format were discussed with his Azerbaijani counterpart:
“We discussed cooperation in the fields of transport and energy, the importance of the Middle Corridor. The Republic of Azerbaijan is not only a good friend for us, but also a strategic partner. With our joint efforts, we have implemented a number of strategically important projects. These projects have strengthened the position of our region. I am sure that in the future, thanks to these projects, the attractiveness of the region will increase."
Darchiashvili also emphasized that the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project, as well as the Black Sea submarine electricity cable project, were discussed.
