“Central Asia is a priority region for the United States,” said John E. Herbst, senior director of the Atlantic Council's Eurasia Center, at the 1st Azerbaijan–U.S. Think Tanks Forum, APA reports.
“President Trump presents himself as a peacemaker. I think he has the right to do so. He is working on 9 conflicts, one of which is the Azerbaijan–Armenia issue. The U.S. considers Central Asia a priority region. It is no coincidence that after the C5+1 summit held in Washington, we have gathered in Baku. Soon, with Azerbaijan joining this platform, it will become C6+1. In this regard, the importance of our relations is increasing further,” John E. Herbst stated.
