President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order on simplifying visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2026, APA reports.
The Order stipulates that foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2026 and presenting any of the documents specified in Part 2 of this Order may obtain visas at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan from August 25 to September 30, 2026.
One of the following documents shall be considered a basis for issuing a visa:
- An accreditation card or other document confirming accreditation in accordance with the relevant rules of Formula One Management Limited and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, the international organizers of Formula 1 races;
- An accreditation card confirming accreditation with the Baku City Circuit Operations Company;
- A ticket, including an electronic ticket, for the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2026, or a document confirming the purchase of a ticket.
