Azerbaijan Consul General in Los Angeles visits Oregon

Los Angeles. Zaur Hasanov â€“APA. Consul General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov and Vice-Consul Elshan Baloglanov visited Oregon. The diplomats organized workshop for the local Jewish community, APA US bureau reports. One of the leaders of the stateâ€™s Jewish community rabbi Fischer expressed gratitude to the government of Azerbaijan for its tolerance. Elin Suleymanov and Elshan Baloglanov met with Portland Mayor Sam Adams. Then they addressed the Oregonâ€™s Consular Corps and World Affairs Council. The diplomats also met with the local business people and discussed their achievements in the field of high technologies and the Oregonâ€™s experience in turning from the crude exporter into the environmentally safe energy producer. The Consul General ended his visit with the meeting with The Oregonian reporters, the Oregonâ€™s largest newspaper. Elin Suleymanov underlined the Azerbaijanâ€™s alliance with the United States and its contribution to the Iraqi and Afghanistan operations. He called Azerbaijan as a convenient country for the tolerance and cross-civilizations dialogue.
