Baku-APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received newly-appointed Estonian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Aivo Orav, Foreign Ministry’s Press Service told APA.
The Ambassador presented the copy of credentials to the Minister.
He expressed his satisfaction with his appointment to Azerbaijan and noted that he would serve for expansion of Azerbaijan-Estonia relations during his tenure.
The meeting covered three-day visit of Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves to Azerbaijan early this year and participation of Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip in 2008 Baku Energy Summit. The sides stressed the importance of economic cooperation between the two countries and noted the existence of broad opportunities for realization of mutual investment projects.
The meeting envisaged other issues of mutual interest.
