Novruz Mammadov: â€œWe want Eastern Partnership Initiative not to remain without resultsâ€

Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. â€œEuropean Unionâ€™s Eastern Partnership Initiative was proposed to establish new cooperation with several CIS countries, deepen cooperation and make it more productive. Unfortunately, our relations with European Union are not at desirable level. There is not an equal partnership, balance,â€ Chief of the International Relations Department of the Presidentâ€™s Office Novruz Mammadov told APA.
He noted that they did not see concrete measures and cooperation at proper level within the framework of European Neighborhood Policy.
â€œMethinks, European Union considers that concrete content should be given to mutual cooperation, duties should be determined and they should be implemented,â€ he added. Mammadov added that Azerbaijani officials faced via problems while attending conferences, forums and events held in EU member countries.
â€œTaking all into account we approve their program. We want Eastern Partnership Initiative not to remain without results. Azerbaijani society will welcome it positively and it will be productive for both sidesâ€, he said.
