Baku. Victoria Dementieva-APA. Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Boris Klimchuk has today held several meetings in Foreign Ministry, the Ambassador told APA that meetings debated the reglament of measures to be taken within a year. To him, one of the priorities of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine will be economic issues
“Other main issues in our cooperation will cover joint defense of our interests within the framework of international organizations,” he added.
Klimchuk taking stance on Nabucco project said that Ukraine supported the project.
“Many numbers of gas pipelines give opportunity to determine real price of natural gas. We are interested in Nabucco from this point of view. Ukraine will be main transit country in transmission of Russian gas to Europe via Nabucco and Nord Stream. We have not problems with new gas pipelines. We are interested in Nabucco from other point of view, because our industrial enterprises propose full spectrum of various –measured pipes. Ukraine is one of the well-known pipe producers in the world. Our production is also sold in Azerbaijani markets at present. Ukrainian-made pipes may be used for Nabucco project as well,” he said.
Ambassador added that Ukraine would take Azerbaijan’s position into account on this issue.
“Our strategic partner Azerbaijan joins Nabucco, we will support it. Purpose of strategic partnership is to support to each–other,” he added.
