South Azerbaijani Independence Party appeals to Barack Obama

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. South Azerbaijani Independence Party appealed to U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama in connection with the violation of human rights and situation of the South Azerbaijanis in Iran, the partyâ€™s press service told APA. The appeal draws attention to the violation of South Azerbaijanisâ€™ rights in Iran.
â€œPersian minority in Iran has created a regime of apartheid, depriving South Azerbaijanis of their basic human rights of existence with their language, education, economy, culture and history. As South Azerbaijani people we would like to bring to your attention the fact that South Azerbaijanis are struggling for freedom, democracy, and human rights. Dear Mr. Obama, Tehran’s Terrorist regime is trying to achieve nuclear weaponry capability. This will disturb the world’s balance of power and create a situation for inevitable and disastrous confrontations. We are friends of US. We are over 30 million Azerbaijanis trapped by Persian chauvinist regimes of Shahs and now Mullahs. The road to peace and harmony in the region is through freedom and human rights of South Azerbaijani people. We need attention. As always, please consider us an ally and supporter of America,â€ the appeal says.
