Azerbaijanâ€™s President Ilham Aliyev meets with Israeli President Shimon Peres

The presidents exchanged views on the bilateral relations and economic ties between Azerbaijan and Israel.President Ilham Aliyev also met with Chief Executive of BP Tony Hayward. They spoke about long-lasting effective cooperation between Azerbaijan and BP, underlined the increasing role of Azerbaijan in ensuring energy security and expressed their confidence that the cooperation with BP would extend.

Azerbaijani President had a meeting with Latviaâ€™s President Valdis Zatlers. The presidents expressed their satisfaction with the extension of bilateral relations in political, economic and other spheres, said that mutual relations contributed to the cooperation between Azerbaijan and European Union and underlined that high-level meetings served the strengthening of the relations.

The presidents expressed their confidence in the further extension of the relations between the two countries and discussed other issues of mutual interest.

President Ilham Aliyev continues his visit to Switzerland.
