Azerbaijani Defense Ministry: â€œNikolai Bordyuzha behaves as an Armenian representativeâ€

Baku â€“ APA. It is not for the first time that Bordyuzha supports Armenia. He canâ€™t understand the essence of the organization, which he heads. He has no authority to comment the issue on Ramil Safarov,â€ spokesman for the Defense Ministry, Colonel Eldar Sabiroghlu responded APAâ€™s question.

Sabiroghlu said that Nikolai Bordyuzha behaves as an Armenian representative but not as Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO): â€œThatâ€™s why we are not surprised about Bordyuzhaâ€™s unstable statement. It is possible to demonstrate such ultra pro-Armenian position instead of the biggest liabilities. It is necessary to ask him who are you and how you can comment on this issue? Bordyuzha and persons like him understand the international legal norms and rules how they need. If Bordyuzha wants to know reality about Ramil Safarov and he can look through the Strasbourg convention, which was established in 1983 and Azerbaijan joined as an independent country. But we donâ€™t believe that his pro-Armenian position prevents him from choosing right decision.â€

CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha criticized the decision of Azerbaijan on Ramil Safarovâ€™s pardon and said that they canâ€™t justify this step: â€œBesides it, announcing the criminal as a hero can escalate the highest regional tensionâ€, said Bordyuzha.

According to the Russian general, the decision of the Azerbaijani government on Ramil Safarovâ€™s release is contrary to the international legal norms: â€œIâ€™m sure that the international community will give objective assessment to this issue soonâ€, he said.
