Azerbaijanâ€™s leading party accuses embassies of some countries in interference in domestic affairs of the country

The reality is that Azerbaijani citizens refuse any action that can disturb socio-political stabilityâ€, deputy chairman, executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov told journalists, APA reports.

Ahmadov noted that oppositionâ€™s radical wing started to rely upon outside forces when they see Azerbaijani society did not support them: â€œBoth on March 12 and on April 2, it was possible to see a lot of representatives of different embassies in the streets where the actions should be held. Fact about that some days ago, representatives of some embassies met with leadership of the Public Chamber and their participation in the event shows that not only several opposition parties, but also embassies of some countries and their representatives took part in the meeting attempts. Opposition parties even do not wan to hide this fact, thus, they clearly confess that each event that they hold is being directed and also financed by some outside forces. I suppose that substitution of date of the meeting appointed on April 16 by April 17 is connected with the change of position of those outside forces toward the action. Perhaps, answer of changing the date of the meeting will be known after the attempts. Embassies of some countries accredited in Azerbaijan must not engage in activities that have not been considered in their mandate. Meetings, rallies and other issues of this kind are the events belonging only to Azerbaijani government, state and society. I consider the embassies of some countries as outside forces. Interference of those outside forces in holding of domestic meetings, rallies is very irrelevant. I think that Azerbaijani nation must demand the representatives of some countries made these attempts to stop such actionsâ€.
