OIC Council of Foreign Ministers supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan

It was noted in the Final Declaration of 37th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), APA reports quoting ferqana.ru.

OIC Secretary General Ekmaleddin Ihsanoglu said at final conference that, according to the Final Declaration, the member states of the organization support Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, because this is a sovereign right of each nation. Struggle of Palestinian nation against invaders has also been supported in the document.

OIC countries support soonest normalization of situation in the Nagorno Karabakh and restoration of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Touching upon contradictions between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Ihsanoglu said that Tajiks and Uzbeks used to live in the Middle Asia for centuries and all contradictions should be solved peacefully.

Delivering speech at the press conference Tajik Foreign Minister Khamrokhon Zarifi noted that 2 resolutions had been adopted at the session of the Council of Foreign Ministers. Those documents are “Transit resources of neighboring countries with Afghanistan and using of these resources for the revival of the economy of the mentioned country” and “Productive use of water resources in Islamic world, practice and information exchange, strengthening cooperation in this direction”.
