Mahmoud Mammad-Guliyev to attend Eastern Partnership ministerial meeting

Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. On May 24, foreign ministers of the Eastern Partnership countries will hold their informal meeting in Sopot, Poland. Azerbaijan will be represented there by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahmoud Mammad-Guliyev, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elkhan Polukhov told APA.

The Eastern Partnership Program was launched on May 7, 2009 in Prague. 27 EU member countries and six post-soviet countries – Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Armenia joined the program. The project is carried out on the initiative of Poland and Sweden. It aims to establish closer political and economic relations between EU and these six countries.
