Deputy Minister noted that it was possible and that the decision would be accepted on the basis of concession: “But first Turkey must announce that it wants be the co-chair of Minsk Group. There is chairmanship institute from 3 countries as a mediator of Minsk group’s work. Principally, this chairmanship institute doesn’t carry constant character. As you know, there was only one chair of Minsk Group which has been functioned since 1992. Then it became 2, and since 1997 it had functioned in tripartite format. If this number rose to three, then it is possible rising to four. If there will agreement, then there may be changesâ€.
To him, Turkish chairmanship in the Minsk Group is a very important factor for Azerbaijan: “As regards Turkish chairmanship in the Minsk Group, Ankara must discuss it with other Minsk Group Co-chairsâ€.
