Azerbaijan and Serbia sign six documents

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev welcomed Boris Tadic. Representatives of Azerbaijani state and government were introduced to Boris Tadic and the members of the Serbian delegation were introduced to Ilham Aliyev.

Following the official welcoming ceremony, the presidents held one-on-one meeting.

They underlined that there was good potential to extend the relations in all spheres, including economic sphere. The presidents expressed their confidence that the bilateral relations would further develop.

They exchanged views on the bilateral, regional and international issues.

The one-on-one meeting was followed by the meeting with participation of the delegations.

Following this, Azerbaijan-Serbia documents were signed.

Azerbaijani President Ilham and Serbian President Boris Tadic signed the “Joint Declaration of the President of Azerbaijan Republic and President of Serbia Republic”.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic signed the “Protocol on cooperation between Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Republic and Foreign Ministry of Serbia Republic”.

Mammadyarov and Jeremic signed “Agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of Serbian Republic on abolishment of visa for persons who has diplomatic and service/official passports”.

Next document signed by Foreign Ministers of the two countries was “Convention on elimination of double taxation between the Government of Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of Serbian Republic in relation to incomes and possessions”

Moreover, “Agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of Serbian Republic on cooperation in struggle sphere against crime” was also signed. It was signed by Azerbaijani interior Minister Ramil Usubov and Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Interior Minister Ivica Dacic.

The last signed document between the two countries was “Agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of Serbian Republic on cooperation trade and economic sphere”. The agreement was signed by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev and Serbia’s Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic.
